My favorite memory was when I got my big. I feel like I found my second family that day. My older sister and I are close so not having her at school was tough. My favorite memory so far being in alpha phi was my initiation ceremony. Growing up as a tomboy, I was never close with girls and sitting in that ceremony and looking around at all of my soon-to-be sisters for life was an amazing feeling. I knew that in that moment Alpha Phi was forever going to change my life with the connections and memories that I would experience over the years. I'm so excited to be apart of initiating the new class and being apart of their home at Alpha Phi.

My favorite memory in Alpha Phi was getting my big. The day I met Lacey I knew I wanted her to be my big and I was so anxious and so nervous. Then she was finally revealed as mine and got to meet the rest of my family and I just knew I had my people and I love them all more than anything! I go to them for anything and everything and couldn't ask for a better family.

My favorite memory so far has to be big/little reveal week! Going from just having a younger brother at home to having over 100 sisters and the best big sister anyone could ask for was the best experience. It was fun trying to figure out who my big was from her handwriting, her little love notes, and her two truths and a lie note. Now I have someone in my life that I'll know years down the road will be in my wedding and be just a quick phone call away! I look forward to being apart of recruitment this year and attending my first Red Dress Gala!

My favorite memory so far was bid day because at the time I was feeling very lost, unsure if I had made the right choice with where I went to school, when I opened my bid it instantly reassured me that things would be okay. That feeling of pride when I opened my bid to Alpha Phi was unlike anything I have ever experienced. I have always wanted a sister and bid day was able to give me hundreds of them in an instant. Bid day was also special because my bid day buddy would later become my Big. That memory of bid day made me feel like I was exactly where I should be.

My favorite memory was that first moment I started being able to say hi to my sisters walking around campus. I finally felt like I belonged to something on this campus and I got such glee when people actually smiled back. I knew I had a family here finally and being so far away from home that meant a lot to me. I'm really excited for the new pledge class and being able to do the same for the girls to come!

My favorite memory in Alpha Phi is the moment I laid eyes on my bid. All of my anxiety disappeared. The reason this is my absolute favorite memory is not just that I was chosen to be a sister, I remember in that moment, as I was immediately overcome with tears of joy, I looked over at my Big (who was not my big yet, and who was disaffiliated in order to facilitate formal recruitment)who was crying too. Whenever I think of sisterhood, I think of that kind of connection, the kind where my Big probably already knew I was meant to be her little at that moment. And just knowing without a doubt that this was where I belonged with the people I belonged with.
